Looking for a new home? Here are some tips on getting started

You feel like you’re finally ready to look into a new home. Maybe it’s your first home or your family has outgrown your current home. No matter what stage you may be in, it can be stressful and overwhelming. We’re here to help with every step of the process. Here are a few tips to consider when thinking about a new home.

PRE-APPROVAL: Before you go ahead and get too excited about a certain house, make sure you know how much you have been approved for. That number can help us look for the right house to fit your budget and your families needs.
KNOW WHAT YOU’RE LOOKING FOR: There is absolutely nothing wrong with making us a list of the things you DO and DON’T want in a house. Having two bedrooms on the main floor can be a deal breaker and a waste of time if you need three on the main floor. We are here to help you find the home that fits your family and lifestyle.
BUDGET RIGHT: So now that you are pre-approved for a mortgage, it doesn’t necessarily mean that that number fits your budget. Sit down and take a look at your monthly finances and figure out how much of a mortgage you can actually take on.
THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX: If you’re in the market for a fixer-upper then a smaller home may look a little more appealing to you. Knowing that you’re prepared to make changes will make you see the home in a different light.
Just remember, that these are not essential but they can help in the long run.
