We often get the question “So, how does it all work then? How/when do you get paid?”

HERE’S HOW- When we list your home we provide our services for a certain percentage (or dollar amount) which is not an upfront cost to the seller. When your home sells, the total commission gets split between the listing agent and the selling agent.
Once the offer is final, the paperwork is sent to the banks and lawyers of both parties. From there the sellers lawyer collects the commission from the proceeds of the sale and dispurses it to the listing brokerage, who then pays the appropriate commissions.
There is no guaranteed timeline and it can often take days or weeks after possession for Realtors to get paid.
